I'm interested in stabilizing some wood for knife scales and I do have access to a vacuum/pressure pot. I am planning to use Minwax wood hardener. Can anyone tell me how long the pieces need to remain under vacuum pressure inside the pot? I've seen answers that range from 1 hour to a week! I am unable to leave them in the pot for longer than 2 days because I'm borrowing the pot from someone who uses it quite a bit. If this is too short of a time for the Minwax, is there another product that will work faster? Also, any tips or recommendations regarding stabilizing wood will be much appreciated! Thanks.
