Question about stag cover cracks

"Seconds" and "Store Only" knives are sold that way because they have no warranty on them. There will be "seconds" show up periodically from sfo's and general production runs on the market and they should be marked with a script "2" on the tangs; just as the "Store Only" models are marked "S". I would say if that was a second and that is the only issue, you did good.

Looks like a stress from the spinning, but unless there is some big change in temperature or humidity (over a very short period of time) it should stay just like that. Natural lines will usually run with a valley in the grain.
