Question about strider lockup, pic included

Does strider charge you big bucks for a bigger stop pin? Or is it covered under their lifetime warranty?

AS long as you don't alter (pimp) the knife, ANY damage is covered under their warranty.

If you snap the blade in half doing something stupid, they'll replace it. :)

Geez. I've had my SNG for five years now. The lockup hardly changed one bit after the first few weeks of ownership. In comparison, the lock bar on my Sebenza has changed greatly over the years.

I can assure you that your experience is the exception and not the rule. :)

Here you go OP. I made this vid a while back, it's been posted many times by various people, but I think you can get some use out of it. :)

both of my Striders came with no loctite and none has any blade play. Warranty covers everything as far as the knife hasn't been pimped or modified. You can take it apart and it will NOT void the warranty. I already post the answer to this question directly from Josh.
Also the blade stop is not supposed to touch the G10 (it is softer than the titanium); don't worry, its rock solid!
Cheers and enjoy

Thanks for all the reassuring words, guys.

What I noticed was there aren't many cross trading going on between strider and chris reeve users. I thought I would instantly have offers for striders but I guess they keep to themselves.

Any idea if I can get my hands on a digi camo SMF if I were to offer a crk ti-lock? I only ask because it's like asking to trade a tank for a v12 supercar. In terms of value they seem to add up though

So if I pry a door open with the blade, the blade snaps in half, they will actually replace the blade? I'm amazed

There was some talk on the greener forum abou them wanting to change their warrenty due to people going rambo on the knives in their back yards, breaking it and taking advantage of the warrenty. But I can't find the thread. In short, don't try and take advantage of the warrenty and you will be fine.

That won't fix the kind of play most Strider's develop. Only a bigger stop pin will, which they have to do.
The vertical play I've seen on them was instantly fixed by tweaking the lock-bar further over.
The lock face wears for sure, but there's alot of tang for the bar to work it's way across as long as it was built correctly, which the ones I've had and seen were.:)
