Question about Strider RC

does it not have scales on both sides of the handle? If its is scaled on both sides there is no need for the LBS.

I don't own one either. But from pictures I've seen, it looks as though the regular RC "C" is a liner lock, so it wouldn't need a stabilizer and the limited edition framelock version uses part of the scale to help stabilize the lock. It also doesn't seem to have a deep relief cut in the frame as my SnG does, but the frame does thin out toward the rear half of the frame.

The framelock version is really nice, but it's also more than twice the price when compared to the RCC.

Maybe someone who owns one will help out with the answer.

The LBS is really overated on Striders. The knife functions flawlessly without it. A nice added feature, the lock is plenty strong.

it does not need the lock stabilizer because the G10 handle overlaps the ti-bar.

so the G10 slab acts as a stabilizer. you cannot overbend the RC lock at the lock recess.
