So I have a friend that has an g-10 spyderco I'm going to leave specifics out of this for privacy sake, in case they want to come forward at a later date. Anyhow I know you can buy the replacement part kits for the delica and Endura but what about the Dragonfly? A friend had some scales made for their dragonfly and upon getting their knife back, they opened the knife and it locked once, but they said the knife was dirty, matter of fact dirtiest knife they said they had ever seen , so they are assuming with all the oil and crud some got into the pivot , so they cleaned it up and put it back in the box. Well they go to get the knife back out and the knife will not lock. So I was wondering, I know Spydercos policy on disassembly, but if they sell the parts kit for the delica or endura maybe they sell one for the dragonfly as well. Also any of you modifiers know what might of caused the lock to fail 100% now as in it's a slipjoint now, The person who did the scales did it for free, well not free free my friend did some things for the maker and the maker said since you did this I'll make you some scales, He claimed to know what he was doing but my guess is he didn't and he forced the scales on and bent something . Anyhow If any of you modifiers have any suggestions let me know , my friend is on the forums , but is wondering how to go about this so I told them I would ask for them I told them to E-mail Sal, and ask and we both know disassembly voids warranty , but thought he might have some advice as to how to fix it. Any and all help would be appreciated FWIW the knife was BNIB bought specifically for this modification, from a reputable dealer.

No D'fly parts kits.

No warranty.

After the mods, there is not much to say. Get the guy who mod'd the knife to replace it, or buy a new one, and put the current one somewhere where it won't injure some unsuspecting person who picks it up and thinks it's safe as a lockback. :thumbdn:

The guy who did it is a bladeforums member , he is ignoring my friend who is also a member on here , and my friend is a very very giving and super nice person and this guy ripped them off and will not respond, but yet he's online , my friend sent him a pm saying replace my knife or they are going public 1 . the guy doesn't know what hes doing and 2. hes offering to mod knives without the proper membership, I met the victim in this case in person and they are one of the nicest people you can meet , you know who you are guy, you need to step up and replace the knife! Myself , the owner of the knife, and another member here have seen the knife, he needs to step up and do the right thing.

Also to the guy who ripped my friend off remember you don't have the proper membership to be doing ANY work on this site , but your doing it to the members her Via pm and private messages , I cant find the rules , but I'm pretty sure thats a violation

Hey mods , Can we move this To feedback or GB&U the member who owns the dragonfly is ready to call out the member who tore her knife up, but doesn't want to bother the Spyderco Forums

The thread is now in FEEDBACK. We really need the owner of the Dragonfly to tell the story. We should see the modifier notified, and also responding here.

Owner notified, and another Mod said for them to start a thread on their on, So i told them them about it , both parties know, the owner is just getting the evidence together before they create a thread...I'm closing this so they can start their on
