Hello,

I have owned one of these for about 14 years now and was wondering if the older ones, such as mine are worth any money in the collectors market. i don't know if maybe they were serial numbered and the older ones woud be worth something. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi TMW!

I've got a survival staff and on mine there is no serial number.
Mine can be taken apart in two pieces. I bought it from cutlery shoppe.

Greetings

how do you guys like your staff? I've been debating on getting one for years every since i saw them in the cutlery shoppe cat. are they very heavy? and do they make any noise when striking the ground when hiking?

narco99,

I would say it is just as light as the same staff done in a hardwood. Also, it does not make any noise when hikng or banging against the ground. Let me know if you are interested in buying one slightly used as I am looking to sell mine. take care.

martialway...thx for the info...been looking at some hardwood hiking staffs but i keep coming back to the Crawford...it just seems alittle pricey...just curious as to why you are selling yours?

Narco,

To be honest with you, in all the years that I have had the staff I have used it ONCE. I just don't find the need for a walking staff when I go hiking and I never bring it. It has been sitting in my closet for gods know how long collecting dust. I figure that it is going to wast so I decided to sell it.
