Question about the tiger stripes....

I was thinking about how cool it would be if the Buck Strider collaborations had the tiger stripe patters on the blades, but I wanted to ask if this is a proprietery thing, exclusive to Strider knives only?
 
It's a cost thing to Buck. Each extra step is a costly one when you have to do it at that scale. We have considered doing it for our customers but in honesty, the time it takes to disassemble, go through another tempering cycle, tiger stripe, resarpen, re-assemble and ship makes it cost prohibitive. Look at the bright side, you will now have to get one of OUR folders!

Duane, thanks very much for the response. Yes, you're right, I must get a Strider folder. I drool everytime I see a photo of one. :)
