question about thinner longer busse knives

I have been out of the loop for a few years and have given thought to getting a busse knife. I would like a blade preferably 7 inches in length and no thicker than 3/16. What models would come closest to these specs? I knew of busse knives during the days of the SteelHeart and then I bought a Satin Jack but have never been really satisfied with the thickness of the blade. I would hope that perhaps I can trade it but I do no know if there is a model out there that fits the bill so I thought I would ask. Thanks

I would suggest a Sarsquatch. It meets those requirements to a T. I think I saw some for sale on the exchange at a good price. Good luck.

Yep, SARSquatch.

Did I mention; buy one, beat the crap out of it and come back and tell us how much you enjoyed it?? Do it!!!

Your next best bet might be a Hell Razor @ 6.5" in blade length, .187" thick at the spine. Also has Corrugated Bevel Technology (CBT) like the Fusion Battle Mistress. It's lightweight and would be more a fighter style than not, but still can do most tasks easy. Nice model.

this. it's fairly light but can still chop surprisingly well. it's extremely versatile. probably my favorite for the criteria you mentioned. i believe it's actually closer to 7" than 6.5".

what is the grind on the Sarsquatch?

The Competition finish Squatchies are saber ground, with the primary bevel being convexed... with a nicely blended zero edge for cutting.

WOW, and you used it? Insane! But I guess when someone has such a large and sick collection like you, might as well use some...
SWEET!
:D

so if it is not the polished finish but is the matte crinkle stuff, then what is the grind?

I think those were Sabre ground without the zero edge, but they did have some sweet looking black linen micarta. :)
