All greetings!
Prompt please, in what year was issued Delica with a titanium handle?
(I know that it issued only for the Japanese market.)

That's going to be a tough one, since Japanese market exclusives don't show up on either the Across the Years time line, or in any of Spyderco's catalogs, and those are our primary means of establishing when a given model was introduced.

Thanks Paul!
And nevertheless it would be desirable to be defined...
As on this model it is not presented David Boye dent it was issued most likely till 2000...
There can be a collective brain attack will help to localise it? ;)

I can ask a few friends in Japan who might know, I have a friend who has been a Spyderco dealer for a long time here in Taiwan also so they might have you an answer between them.

Do you have the box ?
The date should be on there if you have it, It may be in a 2 letter code so not immediately obvious.

I have sent off a few e-mails and il see my friend with the knife shop tomorrow so il see if any one knows soon.

FWIW, the Japanese market boxes either do not have date codes on them or the codes are in Kanji. I hope your friend can help, I too would be interesting to know when some of the Japanese market models were first introduced.

Quite right.

Well, this is proving a bit harder to pin down than i thought.

My friend with the shop is contacting his "man Japan" to see if he can get a date from them. I suppose it will be a day or two untill i hear back but it is in the works.

Maybe Sal G. will see this and chime in with some info ?
