i am thinking about grabbing this knife when i get the chance to do. and also have they been released yet?

if i don't use the knife and keep in original box, will the price go up

Not released yet..will cost close to $500 new...and you're not a Gold member so no more answers..and that's that

The future value will depend on the number made and the popularity.

I assume the knife will be even more desirable as more people have had a chance to play with one (as I have on a couple of occasions).

Any limited edition product (small numbers) with high desirability has good upward value potential.

Do a little googling on speedform 3500, volt 3600 for instance.

Chester's concern stems from the BF rule that a non-supporting member may not ask knife values.

Sounds like you're only interested in trying to squeeze money out of people. That's not very nice. Good luck finding one though. :D

I'm not being mean to new members just a rule...also if you use it or not it would still hold value... You couldn't buy a user TILT at the price they went new...

i know its rule and i do know price of 0777. and i thought tilt was 300 when they went new

It will all boil down to how many are made.

In the case of the DLC Tilt, they made so few of them, the current owners can ask (and reasonably expect to GET) fairly astronomical numbers for them.

I use mine, and did not buy it to sell.

I did sell my Stonewash version, but to a good friend and for less than what I paid for it new from Kershawguy.

Buying knives for speculation is not a good practice unless you are buying art knives, then there is really no question about using or not.

Buy what you love, use them or if you prefer, fondle and protect them - but the most important thing is the "ENJOY" part.

The problem would be if Kershaw didn't make enough. Don't blame the consumer.

"Kershaw didn't make very many, so I'm going to make it harder for someone to get one at retail pricing" doesn't make me all warm and fuzzy, everyone's different though.

Does the Order of Kai code of conduct allow ridicule and snarking people who ask a simple question?

Maybe ridicule was a bit harsh. It's not how I would like my friends to treat my other friends.

I don't agree with people trying to gouge on knives, but I don't think buying two would qualify as trying to make a killing.

Perhaps he just wants one to use and one to put away?

I know you aren't a jerk, nor are the other posters here, but look back and put yourself in the position of the op - what would you feel?

I just thing that some of the Order of Kai folks are getting a bit of a mob mentality.

Let's band together to promote and enlighten, not to belittle and heavy handedly correct or editorialize.

I can't personally wait for the 777 - now THAT's a knife!
