Question concerning SPA treatment

You can just ship the knife and repair form. Buck will email you when they receive it. After receiving the email, I called and provided my credit card number for payment or just send a check like topgun suggested.
I never got an email that Buck received my Yearling on Mar. 23, but USPS Tracking shows an individual at the address got it. Should I be concerned? Buck Knives Inc. Buck Knives Inc.

I never got a receipt email from Buck the two times that I’ve used the Spa.

The first emails I got were when they started processing my knives which was a few weeks after receipt.

If you’re concerned about a possible misdelivery, you can call them and ask them to check.

I'll give it a while. They did my Maverick with no problems previously. Thanks

I sent in two knives last August 26. Buck notified me on September 15 that they received the knives. I then called and provided them my credit card number for payment. I had new blades put on the knives and the SPA cleaning service. I received the knives back on October 29, so a little over two months after shipping them off for service.

In this thread that I started last year, someone down at the bottom of the first page stated that "When I talked with a person at the repair end they let me know that they do not confirm receipt of the knives sent in because the don't open them until they are ready to work on them." This could be why you haven't heard from them yet.

Thanks, and that makes sense. I sent a check, so Buck has the payment.

My 122 Nemo is back from the SPA. I'm posting before and after pictures together here, to save on scrolling.

The black stains on the "bad" side are not 100% gone, I can still see them, faintly. But they look dramatically better. It doesn't show well in the pictures, but there were fine scratches (made the aluminum and phenolic handle look dull) all over the knife. Probably just from 50 or so years of handling. The fine scratches are all gone. The handle and hardware look brand new, and the blade looks nearly new. They also put a nice clean edge on it for me. I am completely satisfied. Buck Knives Inc. That looks great. They seem to do such an amazing job. I've got 5 or 6 Bucks in need of repair, reblade and/or SPA that I've used over the last 30 years of my life that I need to box up and send in.

Two details I will add, that weren't a problem for me but might be for some.
There was no contact from Buck at all, until my knife arrived today. As I said, this doesn't bother me, as no further communication was needed. Since I was unsure of what it would cost, I sent in just the knife, and the repair form. They sent back the knife and an invoice for a SPA treatment. Very reasonable.
The other possible negative is that it took a long time for it to return. I mailed it on Apr 24, and it arrived here today (Jul 17). This also wasn't a problem for me because they were very clear, up front, about how long the turn-around might take. I have learned that patience can be a good thing. Besides, the 122 isn't my only knife 😁.
If these two "issues" don't bother you, I highly recommend the SPA service from Buck.

I likewise have had spectacular results from the SPA treatment. Just have to be willing to be apart from your knife for a few weeks or possibly a couple months.
Luckily, most of the knives I need to send in have been in the "send in pile" for a while. I just never got around to sending them in. So, I won't miss them for a few months. But, after hanging around this forum, I've got the itch to see them in working order again.

However, two of the knives going in are more users for me, including my favorite drop point 442. I might use it's absence as an excuse to pick up the drop point saunter that's on sale at our local sporting good store for a smoking deal. That way, I'll have a fancy new age slipjoint to go along with my back from Buck group when they get back.
