I know for a fact that is not the case.

In years past, you could ask for a sterile LE. I had one of the original HOFSHLE models that was like that, so I asked for my FBMLE to be the same way and got it.

When the NMFBMLE came out, I asked for sterile again and was told that it was not possible. I subsequently asked for #357 and got it, but it sounds like you can't even do that any longer either.

Yes, sterile is no longer an option, but I know of somebody (not me) that has something besides a number engraved on his CABS LE among other LE's. :thumbup:

Numbers can still be requested, but only if you place your order before that number gets assigned to an order. How else do ya think I get #27? I sit up the nights of new offerings and F5 my finger off until I get my order in!!

Also, I opted for red liners underneath my black canvas on this one.
