i wouldnt expect the normal variants to be flexible, as they are both almost full thickness, and quite tall.
erics variant really is a completely different beast to the ones that are being shown - as it is a complete dagger grind, rather then a sharpened swedge. it is one of the, if not the only complete dagger grind i've seen on a busse. the closes other then that being the fishy variant, but even on that, the top grind doesnt extend to the center line of the knife - where as erics sj variant actually has the top grind extend down below the center of the knife, i imagine so that it was at the center of the original primary grind.
i.... it just boggles my mind.
