Question For Flashlight Guys

I had an Olight S20 Baton (the non-rechargable 18650 model) before someone "borrowed" it. I loved that light. Super small, super bright, super easy to use. I wouldn't hesitate to pick up the rechargable version.

I myself am looking for a super thin (~0.5" diameter) 2xAAA flashlight for a combo sheath I have. I'll probably get the Maratac as I have carried their 1xAAA for years now and love it to death. I've also looked at the FourSevens Preon P2 and the Nitecore MT06. Hopefully, one of those 3 go on a hefty discount for Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

MY EDC flashlight, now discontinued, is a thrunite ti t10t. I like the rear button, seems like many are going to the side button (the Olight baton included) which I always seem to turn on in my pockets. I think the Preon would be good and I think I was between that or the thrunite, and I ended up getting in on a sale or something for the thrunite.

shawn - have you looked at the streamlights?
they're not to shabby for price and performance, unless you need more than 200 lumens and 200 meters of throw.

I've mostly stayed away from streamlight because when I first got into flashlights the price: performance ratio was fairly poor. Has that changed? I don't mind spending more if there is a significant performance boost; which I'd personally found years ago with Maratac and Olight. I keep an Olight M20SX Javelot as a nightstand light, too.

$20 for 80 lumens in a small package meets most of my workday needs.
I have a cheap bushnell 3-color light by the bed, so I can use the red LEDs for the middle of the night trips outside for the dog.

What's a good pocket flashlight made of brass. The final part of my EDC will be a solid brass zippo which I think my kids will be getting me and a 50 cal brass chap stick holder which I will make my self. All I need is a solid brass flash light to combine all items in a Herman oak leather front pocket slip. I already have the back pocket with John's urban set. A brass space pen( which you can just sand off the powder coat and save money) and a back up mini bic.

Also in the spirit of Christmas I will make either 3 pocket slips or sheaths. Only catch is you have to order a knife from John or prove to me your a ranger graduate the few on here will know what that is but I require proof.

I use a bunch of Lumintop's that have treated me pretty well.

Can you share a pic of the chapstick holder when it’s done? That sounds pretty cool!

One interesting flashlight is the new Fenix E30r. I have the pd35tac and this new one is smaller and brighter. Of course it is a little more $

Check out the Peak LED Solutions. I have an Ultra X in SS that takes a 10440 and is quite nice.

Look at the streamlight protac 1L-1AA, uses [1]cr123 or [1]AA battery, has 2 way clip , can be clipped to your ball cap for hands free use.
Great for low light defensive handgun class .

Did you decide on a light yet?

I got this Thrunite T10T V2 from the other secret Santa I was apart of on a different forum and I’ve been really liking it. It’s a AA with a magnetic back and super simple Ui. The titanium version is 40 bucks and aluminum is 20.

Felt like kerputzing today instead of doing something constructive. Consolidated my 15 year flashlight collection for gun safe storage.
