Ray, the F1 is one of my regular carry knives depending on where I'm going and what I'm doing. I like the VG10 stainless since it seems to take a razor edge real fast and has a good 'bite' to it. The only complaint I have is the handle is a little small for my hand. Also, the one I have came with leather pouch sheath and I would rather have kydex.

Having said this, it's hard for me to only carry one blade for extended periods since I'm always reviewing something for the magazine. (There are exceptions to this rule though

) Usually I work with a piece for a couple of months before moving on to the next.

Thanks for the comments concerning my reviews.

Jeff

Although I do not own any Falkniven, it is one of the knives that consistently gets high scores in reviews and would be a strong contender if I was looking for a knife. The only thing that might raise some concern for the non-compromising user is the Kraton handle. It is comfy but not resistant to DEET and oil products. Somebody on BF mentioned that his handle deteriorated quite badly. For me, that might not be a serious concern but in my never-ending Odyssey for the perfect 'survival knife', a micarta or zytel handle might sound maybe better.
Still, they are very good knives in my opinion.
