Do you find that the weather significantly affects the performance of your Little Giant?

I know where there is a LG 25 pounder but it has lived out in the weather so long that it is rusted solid. Im not sure if its ruined beyond restoration or not but you should put yours under cover.

My 50 pound lives in SO. Cal, so it wouldn't know much about weather. Works pretty much the same all the time.

It lives inside. It just seems to act very differently depending on temp and humidity.

My 50 lb'er slowes down in cold weather....That is untill I have been in the forge long enough to heat the hammer up some.

The wood clutch on my 25lber must swell a bit when it gets humid. Makes the hammer harder to control.

My 50 lber runs a little slower when it is cold out and tends to run on a little till the old girl gets warmed up. I use chainsaw oil to lube all except the spider which gets grease, the previous owner was using grease on the clutch and Sid at LG believes thatis what is making it run on.

My 250 just ticks right along, not caring a bit if it's freezing or 115 degrees outside.
