Question for new top ten summary.

Could someone tell me whether "BDC" stands for "Bura Dui-Chirra", "Berkley Dui-Chirra" or something else entirely different. Thanks in advance.:D
 
I think the original BDC was a copy of one of Berkeley's khuks. The model has since evolved slightly and seems to be called the Bura Dui Chirra now, or at least that's my understanding. I'd wait to hear from one of the old-timers to be sure.
 
Thanks Kazeryu. As a newcomer I'm having trouble sorting out all the acronyms.
 
I have heard that the B in BDC stands for Bura or Baby. I could be totally wrong though, as usual.

This has been hashed out before and it seems there is no official meaning. But it can be any one of:

Baby Dui Chirra
Bura Daily Carry
Bura Dui Chirra

Baby Dui Chirra is the first name it got. It may have morphed when someone forgot what the 'B' was for.

It was Terry Sisco's friend Larry that made the original 10" BDC model. They hadn't ever really thought about giving it a name, and only one would have ever been made had not a pic been posted and Bura (being Bura) eager to make more.

This is in a thread that came after the 10" showed up and we all loved it but wanted a 14" inch version. So Bill decided to put it to the forum to see if the interest was really there...

The rest is history....and we're still writing it. :thumbup:
 
10" = BDC - Baby Dui Chirra
14" = CDC - Child Dui Chirra
18" = TDC - Teen Dui Chirra
21" = ADC - Adult Dui Chirra

:) :p

Where does the normal 16" Dui Chirra fall?
