Hey guys. The great Waz and I will be driving to Blade West next week. I am ashamed to admit it but this will be my first trip across the Mississippi. Any suggestions on things we need to stop and see?

I know the "West" is a pretty broad area but give me some ideas of the hot spots between Ohio and Portland.:D

Thanks guys,
Garth

Country Corral:thumbup::D

That is the only place that I know:confused:

I know there's a killer INFI Deposit Depot in Colorado...

email me for directions. I hear there's even complimentary Cabo!

Wall Drug.

hmmm, maybe I could get xxxx to task some assets to track the Busse-mobile enroute, and then have yyyy send some black helicopters to intercept you and confiscate the trailer for National Security reasons.

A lot of neat things to see between Texas and and California. I've never been as far north as you are. You could take the VERY scenic route (waaaay out of your way) and see the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Yosemite, Sequoia National Park. Wish I could be more helpful.

I just posted most of this in the other thread:

Hubers, oldest restaurant in OR and has an amazing old turn of the century bar thats famous for their very strong Spanish Coffees. The making of which is a show in itself.

Mary's Club. Is a mother/daughter owned dive/topless bar thats been there since the 40s (!).

http://www.marysclub.com/

Both are a couple of blocks from the hotel.

The Portland Outdoor Store is blocks away and been there for 70 years, it's pretty awesome and worth a look.

Also, go see Howard Hughes "Spruce Goose" housed at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum...it's about a 40 minute drive.

Anyway, theres a couple of thoughts off the top of my head.

Oh yeah, the Spruce Goose. I saw it when I was in High School when it was still in Long Beach, CA. It's something else. The vertical stabilizer on that thing is something like 7 stories tall. Yup, I would certainly recomment checking out the Spruce Goose, aka Hercules.

I bet I can bribe xxxx and yyyy.

I-80 will take you past one of the largest INFI mines in the world just two miles north of the freeway. but you have to know where idaho is. the mine is about one day from portland.

,

There is also Mt Rushmore, Little Big Horn Battlefield, Yellowstone, Coeur d'Alene Idaho Snake River (Hells Canyon), Smith Rocks, Mt Hood, Mt. St. Helens, The Columbia River Gorge, Multnomah Falls, Cannon Beach, and Crater Lake to name a few. I'm sure I missed a few other places that are a must see out west.

Be sure and pick up some Boise State t-shirts on the way.

People up in Oregon are big Boise State fans. ;)

I think that Garth and Waz should stop along the way home for hundreds of private showings!!!!!. . . . Oh sure, they might not get back until December . . . .But think of the HOGs they could meet and the Dog Tags that they could bury!!!!!

Oh yeah!!!!

A Nuclear Treasure Hunt of monumental proportions!!!!!!!!!

I'm still drinkin' ! ! !

Jerry :D
