Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I have a Newt Livesay Air Assault I picked up a couple of years ago. I can't seem to find out much info about it, but it's relatively unused.

Trouble is, it's not quite my style and I may be trading it for something more useful. Does anyone know what the trade value of one of these would be these days? I understand the maker retired or passed away some time ago.

Newt was a good knifemaker but a bad businessman. We never know when he'll show up again. But ordering from him can be an exercise in futility.

Newt was not really a good knife maker either. He got too big for his britches, put out some real crap and left some bad memories. I got in early and for $25 my neck knife was fine after I spent an hour reprofiling it. But when the price rose to $75 in about a year, it was a ripoff. Somee knives were kind of factory made, but sold as custom.

The Air Assault was often one of the better made knives and had a following. If the grinds are good and the sheath fits and is in good shape, it should sell. Ebay it.
