I don't know if there's a glitch or if it is just me being technically incompetent! I had flagged an email from Admin because my paid membership was due to expire tomorrow (Feb 5th). When I clicked onto the link to pay today, a new tab opened and the page instructions were asking me to log in and when I attempted to log in a few times, it didn't recognize my saved log in credentials whereas I was and I still am perfectly logged in, on the existing tab that I was reading the Forum!

OK, so I said fudge the link and I just went to taking care of this manually by clicking onto the Paid Subscription tab. To my surprise, the only currently available options to me are Platinum (my 2019-2020 level) and above such as Service Provider / Dealer / Pirate / PG Platinum which none applies to me. So to cut a long story not so short, once a person goes Platinum, then a downgrade (Gold) is no longer available or am I just looking into the wrong places for this?

As I understand it while you have an active membership you are only able to extended or upgrade if you wish to down grade you will need to wait until your membership officially expires.
