I have googled and searched here with minimal result. I am looking for a tutorial or something close. I want to learn how to jig on handle materials like bone, horn, and micarta. If someone knows of a good link please direct me to it. Thanks in advance. I have three books on knifemaking and neither has this info. I know using a dremel with a carbide cutter and then sand it down, but how does one come up with the design. Thanks.

I use a cordless Dremel tool and various diameter abrasive wheels purchased from MSC. You’ll just have to play with it as far as sizes and patterns go. This is done while wearing a respirator and generally outside. I also like to keep a shopvac running right beside the work piece to keep the smell and dust to a minimum.
This is how I do it...Hope it helps

Thanks for the reply. Thats kinda what I was thinking. Now I just need to practice a little I guess.
