Hi - I just got my new small classic
Sebenza today...Excellent knife!

I have a question, maybe silly. Is it normal that just before the blade locks there is a small "pre-locking" action, or should it go smooth all the way until it locks?

Thanks, Carlo

Maybe I haven't express myself clearly...
it is smooth already, however, i noticed
(without disassembling it) that there is a small protuberance inside the locking bar,
which causes a tiny jolt of the blade
a few degrees before the locking position. I do not think opening it and closing a milion times will ever change this...!

This is completely normal. That small protuberance is the cermic ball detent to hold the blade in the closed position. It will always do the "pre locking' thing you described.

If I understand you correctly...What you are feeling is the detent ball, which is on the inner part of the locking bar. You will first feel this drop off the blade before the lock itself drops in behind the blade.

Take a close look inside the handle and you can see what is going on...

OK ok...I just found several messages with the same question I asked...sorry..!
I guess with only a few pieces of metal put together ...virtually every question on the Sebenza should have been already asked!
Thanks,
Carlo
