Question On Building a Jewish Knife

Thanks for the kind words, Roger! Tim, good ideas, and my thanks. I have a bit of cobalt blue jade now, maybe some inlay for the handle. Unless the customer comes up with some gold, I'm gonna let that one lie, although I believe gold would be great and appropriate. Goat horn sounds good, and easy to come by. My customer suggested acacia wood AFTER I bought and received the olive wood he requested for the knife. Good idea, tad late. I'm glad I didn't go ahead and buy several ounces of gold without a deposit, now.
 
i thought you guys were talking about eleazar ben-yair's knife in the movie "masada" starring peter o'toole and richard straus.
