Question on Case Mini Trapper

I recently picked up a Case Mini Trapper from their Tan Caliber line. This is my first in this pattern and I like it a lot. The blades come "as ground" - no tumbling or polishing, but with a little rubbing with metal polish I think they look good. Nice sharp lines instead of the usual rounded lines. As far as the handles... well, some will hate them, but they are perfectly functional and I don't have to worry about abusing them. Edges on both blades were very rough and took some work to put nice edges on them. I love the action on this knife. Very snappy, half stops, and no blade play at all.

I'd like to get more of this pattern and I have a couple of questions. The blades appear to be hollow-ground. All of my Case knives in other patterns (stockman, peanut, canoe) are flat-ground. Is this unique to the Tan Caliber line or do mini trappers from other lines have hollow-ground blades? Also, do all mini trappers have half stops?

Thanks,

Kyle

The Case mini-trapper I have, with bone handle and polished blades, have hollow grinds and half-stops. I also have an old Buck mini-trapper that also has HG blades and half-stops. Maybe all mini-trappers have half-stops?
