So, my wife got me some early Xmas presents. Among them was a Case swayback jack (pictures later). The blade is stamped "Limited XX Edition 1 of 3000." Can I use this knife with its fancy blade etch, or should I keep it pretty?
A friend of mine gave me a bunch of Scotch Bright wheels for my Dremel tool...takes that silly etching off like it were dust. Send it, I'll take care of it for ya, no charge.
I like to use my knives and always end up trading or selling off my safe queens, but this is me. I will say that it will develop more sentimental value if you use it, but it will decrease in $$$ value. You have to choose what type of value is more to yer liking
I would use it... As mentioned, you could just remove it from the start and not worry about it, or let it come off naturally.
Personally, I would remove it because I think they look better without the markings on the blades.... YMMV
ditto to the guys, i ca'nt help but cut things with my knives.some i use only once or twice but since they have been rebeveled, if i sell it cuts price.however i consider whats the use of a race car if you do'nt drive it?
