Not sure about the Hissatsu, but the MOD Dieter CQD auto probably won't be available until the middle of September at the earliest.

That is a good price for the manual version, but the auto, when available, will be a bit more.

Are you talking about the Ancient Edge Hissatsu? They have some good advertising, but the Hissatsu is easilly the most over-priced knife I've ever seen; a complete joke. It costs $300 and the handle is made of polyurethane.

This thread has a lot of information and links about it.

Let`s see, machine ground ATS34,plastic handle ,plastic sheath,$249? Huh? In a recent review in Gun`s magazine the author commented about poor knife retension in the sheath and the weak sheath attachment points. The designer basically told him a tactical knife didn`t need to be very secure in the sheath(!)and that real operators would duct tape the sheath to their equipment anyway so the clips on the sheath could be flimsy and it didn`t matter! I personally wouldn`t give $40 for one. YMMV Marcus

Duct tape for a $249 "tactical" knife, what a rocket science! Bugei.com said that the hissatsu is out of stock, but I think the hissatsu is out of my mind.
