Hello Guy's. I ordered a Roselli from Lamnia knives on Feb25. Got a tracking # the 26th, on the 27th it showed "item has been processed through sort facility at Helsinki". That was the last movement of any kind. Is this normal when ordering over seas? It seems strange it has been in limbo for seven day now. Hope its alright. Anyway, thanks in advance for any help. RP

Normal depending on how they shipped. I had a watch from Russia take a bit over a month to get here after I received tracking.

I just shipped from the U.S. to Canada, it sat in customs for 5 days before it cleared. They buyer has never experienced that before. It took a total of 7 days to get the knife.
I've read on overseas orders taking as much as 3 to 4 weeks to get delivery from the U.S.

Thanks for the reply's guy's. I never ordered from Lamnia before, but I read posts where most had their orders in a week or less. Just wanted to check. Thanks again.

patience grasshopper. i had a cheap $6 phone case on a boat somewhere on the ocean for over 2 weeks coming from where i can only assume is china

I did business with a production facility in Finland, and once a year the whole country goes on vacation for 3 months or something ridiculous like that.
Hopefully it isn't vacation time, OP.

Just kidding. Sort of.

I've ordered from Lamnia when I couldn't find a US supplier, but there are several Roselli dealers in the US. Why not use them (I'm assuming you are in the US).

Another factor can be that the package has changed hands with the destination country post office and if so you may need to plug in your tracking number on the new carrier's website to see progress from this point on. It's common for the tracking number to go dead on the destination country's postal tracking but be activated on the destination country's.

Even dealing with USPS. tracking can be inexplicable and infuriating. I have an Amazon order, s'posed to be here today. It was in Seattle Wed. I'm in Boise, so no problem, right?. Last I checked WA is right next to ID. Yesterday, got a notice from Amazon...package delayed by bad weather in....wait for it....Louisville! Wonder what genius thought a good route for a package going from Seattle to Boise, is through....Kentucky!??? LOL

Lamnia ships promptly and packages well; I think your delay is more related to "911" security issues. When I spoke with Mihail at Lamnia about why my shipment took 15 days when it went air, he stated that they regularly lost several days in Customs. Hang in there; it's coming!

I've placed a few orders with Lamnia and if I remember correctly they arrived in about 7-10 days. I don't think you will have any trouble.

Thanks much all. Rich. I ordered a Roselle carpenter knife because I couldn't find any in US. Ragweed showed 'out of stock', but it looks like they have them back now? oh well, I'm sure it will be OK. Thanks again.

I recently ordered a knife from Finland too and the tracking had paused at a Helsinki address. It had only been a week so I wasn't worried, then the doorbell rang and there is the mail lady with my box :) I'd bet their mail system is sorta like ours with tracking updates sometimes stopping at the border.

14 days from Lamnia to Australia. Customs usually takes a good couple of days.

Update; I emailed Lamnia about this delay. Parcel still hasn't moved since Feb27. They got back to me the same day and said that parcels are delayed due to bad weather in eastern US?? The said they would file a complaint but to expect it to take two to three weeks. Any of you ever hear of this type of delay? To be clear, this is not on Lamnia. They have been outstanding. I guess I'll get it eventually:confused:
