Question on sharpness tester

There was discussion (and a pass-around) on a sharpness testing device that would give objective results. I have wondered if anybody using it has compared results from various sharpening devices and stones? I'm curious if differences were measurable? I compared results doing standard tests (slicing paper, slowly push cutting paper, etc.) and found it hard to determine which was best.
