Question on the AD 271

Been looking at the Alpha Dorado 271 with 154CM steel and rosewood scales. While searching the net I found it listed at KC, (same knife as far as I can tell) but with ATS-34 steel. Is this a misprint or did Buck make these in both steels? TIA

They were made in both steels. In the 2005 catalog, they are listed with ATS-34, then in 2006 they changed to 154CM. Now, in 2010, they have changed again to 12C27Mod Sandvick.

Hammer, The Dorado when it first came out was offered with ATS-34 steel for that first year only that Plumber stated . Then all the ones made afterward have 154-CM blades . DM
