Hey everyone!

I have a really specific question on the ZT 0562 knives. Regardless if its the G10/Elmax or CF/Cts-204p configuration, what is the metal that sits on the back side of the scale? Its a thin piece relative to the locking side Ti scale.

Is it Titanium or some form of a Stainless Steel?

Crazy question I know, but I'm looking for an answer if anyone as one.

thanks in advance!

It's some form of stainless steel that isn't very stainless, I think it's bead-blasted and when i went to clean up the internals of mine I noticed bits of surface rust (rubs off with some oil and a rag). It was also rusting around the edges where it was contacting my sweaty hands, again it was more like corrosion forming on top of the steel and not pitting, but yeah it'd be smart to treat that liner with a rust prevention substance of your choice.

Agree. The 0562 is in my opinion the best production blade on the market given its price point and materials/fit and finish level!
