Question please

You picked a great knife for your first . We all know it will not be your last . Great pics and nice sheath . Congrats !

Some more pics -

You probably can't go wrong with any of the makers suggested on here. I've had other sheaths from Dwayne at Armorall Leather that were great, but the only FBM sheath I have is from Chuddy Bear. Awesome work!

Clone 7- When you take of the dangler part does the ring come off too? If not, does it get in the way if you wear it low rise?
It can be made to be removable by any of the makers shown so far, its a simple snap on snap off thing. I've seen a few, and made a few that way, it makes em that much more flexible in use.
soup monger- Wow- very nice work!
You aint kidding bro! Thats nice stuff Soup Monger! Keep it up! I have always liked pouch sheaths, the epidome of traditional.
Anyone- is a "pin lock" just what it sounds like? Does that mean it only works for Busses? How are the pins made- what makes them rigid enough coming out of a strip of leather? The pin lock is an interesting device, one of the most secure means to keep your knife in place. An no, it doesnt just work on just Busse's, Rowe has used that lock on many different knife designs and it works so well on all of them. I've seen the lock on anything from a small edc type blad all the way to a Fitch bowie. I'm still in awe of that Fitch sheath, got to see it in person at a show. Speaking of "in person" I got to meet Kenny at the Central Texas Knife Show a few years ago, the nicest person you'll ever talk with and the leather was amazing

I put my answers in the quote for easier reading. :)

See alot of leather and I've gotten to handle most of em (still would like to see Rowe up personal) and I personally would go with armoralleather. I like the leather Dwayne uses, tough but not too rigid, thick and holds up to abuse...and if that's not enough, Dwayne does a top notch job on fit and function. Check out his website, he's got some beautiful stuff there.
