Question regarding Busse Battle Mistress

Or this Busse Argonne Assault LB it looks pretty nice but may be some what hard to locate. You wouldn't have to worry about it coming out of your hand though.

Take a look at the NMFSH,about the same size but a little more point.

I have a Ratweiler (original) that has taken some 50 hogs in it's time (previous owner).

If you want a knife that will work on hogs I'd say that Regulator would probably be one of the best choices from Busse family

What you need is a mistress with a swedge or clip that thins out the tip. But as a stabber There are better busses. The TGLB for one. And you don't need a 9"+ blade for that. A 6-7" will do fine. A sharp mistress will easily hack off part of the head in one blow though ;)

I think a CGFBM would be plenty pointed to take a boar with. Especially if you have the swedge sharpened. Either the entire length or just next to the tip.

I've been working on my NMFBM tip, to test the sharpness, i stab through thick 3 gallon buckets fine. It wouldn't pierce the bucket with the factory edge, i had to knock off some shoulder.

Although I buy nothing except busse knives because they seem almost indestructible but I believe Bark River makes a few like you want, give them a check aswell. But in the end infi is the only steel u really want lol

Get one of the Military Over-runs with the sharp clips!

I had a FBMLE with a custom swede from Bill Siegle. It would have gotten the job done in spades!

Guys, Rob's BOAR knife is a CBT MOABOLO.

Though I doubt the OP returns to see these recent suggestions (necrothread and all...), I submit that the new Battle Saw would work nicely. Slight swedge on the clip, and it tapers quite nicely at the tip. Has a better point than any other Mistress I've personally seen. :D

I don't own a Busse yet but after spending many hours in this forum over the last few months that is going to change.
