Is a Dedicated thread a good idea?

Most definitely I would like to be able to have interactions and public conversations with other members regarding projects.

Ya ya, lol...but this is not just going to be a “plug” thread. More of just what’s going on in my mind and different stages of projects, knife, leather, wood, construction, hunting and anything else I can come up with. 😁

You should do it.
Look just how successful, cool, and fun it is to read and interact with MolokaiRider MolokaiRider in his thread Hawaii Knife Life, here in the GKD.

Thanks man!

I always like reading dedicated threads. It’s neat to see the progression of taste and talent mature over time.

It also acts as a sort of blog for the OP.

I agree with Dave aka Horsewright Horsewright his Whacha thread carries with it a good following of folks and what they have been doing in the world of sheaths at least. I would think a thread like that pinned in the Knife makers section might be a good thing as well.

Worse case start one and see how it runs, sometimes threads will become full of well wishers too which expands and can take it off into a different direction, but like I always told my kids, 'if you don't ask, the answer is always no'

Sharp & Fiery Sharp & Fiery and I discussed some things yesterday, one of which was this thread and the other is detailed below.

( Sharp & Fiery Sharp & Fiery I don't want to hijack your thread so let me know and I will remove the post )

I started a general Makers thread in my subforum located here. If anyone is hesitant to start a dedicated thread but wants to post their work, they're more than welcome to do so in my house.

I don’t see it as hijacked. 😉

Great idea, John. If anyone is not following you, they should...you do some fine work.
