Awhile back in December I got a warning for mentioning something political in a non-political forum. Anyways it was just a warning and it expired a long time ago.
My question is, does it ever disappear from the User CP screen? I'd like to forget about it. :p

No. Warnings and infractions, even after they have expired, are there forever.

i got an infraction, then had it reversed. it's still there in my user cp.

the good news, kinda, is that only you and mods can see the infractions in the cp.

Yeah, I got a no point deal spotting as a newbie nearly 2 1/2 years ago, that dang thing is still there. Spark once told me, just be happy I did not get banned. :D

You can live with it, I do.:o

When you can't be teacher's pet, you can always be the class clown. (In either case, never grow up.)

I have a theory that some people never really mature fully, they stop at some age like, say, 12 or maybe 15. The solution is reasonably simple, treat them like their apparent age and have similar expectations from them.

It is on your permanent record.

Face it man, you are screwed.

Hell, you would get a bankruptcy and first degree assault on a cop off your background before this one gives up the ghost...

:D

It's like this. Warnings are warnings, infractions are infractions. If you aren't banned, big friggin deal. The list of them gives the mods a "rap sheet" to reference for problem children... otherwise just view it as a learning experience. Either you learned from the mistake, or you didn't, either way you are still here posting.

BFC is probably the most laid back forum I've ever taken part in. That certain individuals put so much stock in having their "record" expunged is beyond me - we don't hold past actions against you unless it gets to the point that you need to be banned.

I just got INFRACTION and then after it said 'warning'. are warnings a subset of INFRATIONs or are they 2 seperate things? I have no issue with getting the INFRACTION/warning, I read the rules, then had brain fade and INFRACTED anyway, but I'd just like to know if there is a difference and if so what one means over the other. Thank you.

If your talking about the one in your for sale thread. That was only a warning. Like a infraction that doesn’t carry any points.
