Question to Sal about CPM-D2

I really hope the first knife I have using S35VN has a spyderhole in it, not that there is anything wrong with Chris Reeve's kitchen knives but...

I noticed that his line of kitchen knives in S35VN is listed at RC57. IIRC, his S30V typically RC's around there too. It would be nice to see a mule run in this steel, hopefully a bit harder. Joe
 
I wonder why CRK runs em a little soft, I think 57 is lower on both toughness and of course strength for S30V. I love that 62 was the target hardness for the 52100 mule, keep up the good work (& the rockwell numbers :D)
 
I have been underwhelmed by CRK blade performance because of the softness. I used one re-heat treated by Phil Wilson and it was much better, but niether performed as well as my Manix.
