I use a 1x30 and a delta 1x42. Both do not have a contact wheel. My question is if anyone uses or has used the kalamazoo 1x42 or 2x48 and if the contact wheels are a useable feature?

I have not used either but I think you may get a lot more response if you post some type of title related to your question, rather than just "question". Not trying to be rude just trying to help

I dont have a kalmazoo but from looking at the picture I dont think you can grind on the contact wheel, first its too small for most blades, it would be hard to use in the present position, and the motor is in the way. I did not see a price on these but check out the coote, you can do hollow grinds on the contact wheel with it.

Thank you Patrick, I looked at the coote and I think that is a great option. I will have to do some research first on motors seeing that I know nothing and the coote does not come with one. And I am sure that I will have to some wiring unless i can find one that is ready to be plugged in and go. Thanks again for the advice.
