I was watching a video of someone making a blade and after he dipped it in the oil to hear treat it.the creator rubbed. Beeswax on the blade. My question is why? And What does it do for the blade?

not too sure, but i would think that it would have something to do with helping the cutting ability. the beeswax probably helps it cut through stuff since it will be slicker. anyway, jus my ole two cents. have a good one.

I assume it was a carbon steel blade? I believe that the beeswax could act as a sort of short term corrosion resistance.
