What do you guys think a fairly good, yet fairly cheap folding knife would be?

T-man, "cheap" and "good" are relative terms. I think Opinel's are very good knives and very cheap but I can't see myself carrying one. For everyday carry I like to have a 3" linerlock on me. My next purchase will probably be a CRKT Crawford KFF, at under $50 the price is great and will do everything I need the knife to do. If you don't have a SAK, I would start with that.

Gerber EZ Out. Don't make the mistake of calling it cheap. It is less expensive than "fairly cheap" and far better than "fairly good". Very good for a daily carry.

You'll need to define "cheap", T-Man, but I'd suggest Spyderco Delica or Endura. Also check out Columbia River Knife and Tool. If you give us a dollar amount we could be more specific.

Try Mark at MJ&S Knives for a Spydie Native with a 440V blade for $43 + $5 shipping. I doubt that you could beat that deal with a stick!

Lets see, well to me cheap is under $50.00 bucks. As suggested before a good SAK is always nice and lots of different models, even some with a locking main blade.I also like case knives, especially the copperlock series.I have a copperlock with nice redbone handles, very classy and functional and cheap!Ralph

Somehow I have gotten listed overseas as a knife distributer and have recieved offers of product that is CHEAP meaning incredibly inexpensive. Try 8"chefs knives at less than $1 each in volume or folders with stainless handles in the same price range.

Knives can be made cheaply but can you expect the highest quality materials to be used?

You can't go wrong with a Buck 110 folder. The finger grooved one is nice, or the 112 which is a little smaller. I also like the CRKT knives, with the Aluminum handles. Another good one is the Outdoor Edge Magna.
