Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place or not, but here goes. Recently attempted to do a deal with a basic member. He basically accused me of misprepresenting the knife in my description. I edited the description and dropped the price. Now he has backed out of the deal and said something to the effect of "I'm sure you wouldn't rip me off, but I don't trust you...I've captured all of our email and you'd better not say anything bad about me...let's just walk away...I won't be answering any more emails". I feel like he has jerked me around and I'd definitely like to name names, input?

Since you found it necessary to edit your description and lower the price, I would conclude that the knife was initially misrepresented - either intentionally or accidentally.

I suggest that you take him up on his offer and just walk away. I don't see that he has done anything wrong and is just being understandably cautious.

I don't think you're the one being jerked around. Are you trying to force him to buy a knife from you that was not accurately described when you intially offered it for sale? Would you like to be forced to sell to someone you didn't feel comfortable dealing with? Just drop it, walk away and try to sell the knife (with an accurate description) to someone else.

I thing I said "barely used" or something to that effect and "couldn't tell it". When buyer did a search he found my comments on how much I liked it when I used it and felt using it in the kitchen a couple of times disqualified it as such and I edited post to read "slightly used" in an effort to be more conservative in my rating.

In initial email he stated a price that he told his wife he wouldn't exceed. In the end we were $20 above that, my theory is either his wife said "NO" or he changed his mind, but instead of saying so, he chooses to say he doesn't trust me. I resent having my integrity questioned and I resent being told "don't say anything bad about me or else..".
