I have come into possesion of a product used in making forges, that I don't need all of and would like to sell the remainder of it. As a basic member can I sell it on the forum? From what I looked at on the For Sale: Gadgets & Gear (Individual) Non knife related products only. I guess not from this sticky at the top of the topic! This is the sticky below.

Thank you for choosing the BladeForums.com Exchange section. BladeForums.com is supported by members who have paid subscriptions, as such, only paying members may advertise items for sale on this site

The following are fairly simple rules for using this area:

* * * * CHANGE YOUR USERGROUP BEFORE POSTING * * * * - If you are a Gold, Platinum, or Knifemaker member, you need to click on the User CP and select Group Memberships. Make sure that you have selected the appropriate membership group to display on your profile. If you have "Registered User" displayed and you make a For Sale post, you will receive a "Failure to follow the rules" infraction
.

What I am trying to do is generate some cash flow, to upgrade my membership, by selling something I don't need all of . So can I sell it here or in another catagory anywhere else on the forum?
It is not a knife!!!

The way I understand it is you need a Gold membership minimum in order to sell anything. The membership is $25/yr and normally will pay for itself very quickly.

Go ahead and pony up the few bucks for the membership. Think of what you've learned here, and ask yourself if that knowledge is worth a couple of lunches. :)

If you have a product to sell that is remotely knife or knifemaking oriented, the membership will pay for itself very quickly.

I, for one, appreciate that you read the rules and asked questions first. This is the kind of action that makes a place like this a great place to spend some time. Thank you for being a part of our little community. You are an asset to us, whether you upgrade or not.

I can tell you that I've never regretted upgrading. The "for sale" sections have easily allowed me to cover the costs of my membership many times over.
