Questions about a Buck 111

About the only piece of gear I see missing in the photo, would be a Buck 111 with the tooled leather sheath. OH
Ps I love and respect Roy right up there with Buck, but this is too good to pass up!

When I was a kid, my granfather had a cigarette case that was a perfect match to the 111. It held an entire pack and had a little sliding door to expose the square opening on the pack. He was just about the least cowboy like of anyone I’ve ever known. Lol.

It was a different time for sure.
It looked like this one I found online. He used to let his grandkids use it to teeth on.

I don’t remember teething on it. I do remember being fascinated by the little sliding door

I think those are cool knives.

Maybe it's just me, but I liken adopting an old knife, to taking in an old dog.
I appreciate it for what it is.
And I'm not gonna change its name, because again, that's who it is.

If you get a matching, tooled leather belt, with a good size buckle you could star in an Urban Cowboy remake! I have one, still NIB, and love having it in my collection but wouldn’t belt carry one either. OH

I would on Christmas.

You won't catch me in a suite and I also don't wear cowboy boots, but I will wear my nice belt special buckle and bolo tie on Christmas.
A 111 would be just the ticket for me.

Trivia..... There were 2 variations of the banner. The first ones were mirror polished.
Later ones were not and had a duller appearance.

The knife is called the Classic. The matte banner Classic is the more common of the two.
