Questions about a dmt plate

[Just One More]

Hey guys so I just got my first dmt plate. And I know most of you guys have or have had some of these. Anyway it's a dia sharp double sided fine/ex fine and there's some serious machining marks on it and it's slightly magnetic did I get a shitty one or is this common?
