Questions about making a boot sheath...

Greetings all, I have a project in mind that consists of a boot sheath with a clip that can pivot slightly. I will be having a known/renowned sheath maker making this for me. However, I'd like to send him a drawing of my idea, but I haven't a clue if this can be done.

The reason I want the clip to pivot slightly is so that it will be more comfortable when worn IWB. I'm not even sure if this is necessary... I have one dedicated IWB sheath: a Bob Dozier kydex for a model-6. I also have a Kenny Rowe boot sheath that I have tried once or twice as IWB. Jury is still out on it for that purpose.

Has anyone here made anything like this? It will be a leather sheath with a metal clip.

Thanks in advance for your opinions and advice.
