Questions about S35V blade steel

Thanks MathewSB. I'm not familiar with Bark River knives, but I will be soon. I love this knife so much it goes every where I go for work or play. I even use a Kydex sheath with a paracord tether for in the waistband carry for tactical / defensive purposes.

To B34NS, yes I've resharpened the knife plenty of times. It usually takes only a few minutes with a diamond grit stone and it's sharp as new again. Yes, it's a good boner among other things.

Thanks and blessings to you all.

Whoa, I never would have thought to pack the Difensa IWB, that's awesome if you can pull it off. I tried a 6" bladed knife IWB with a tether and it kept moving several inches up everytime I sat down.

For the record, I love Bark River stuff for field dressing and camp chores, but I've never seen better than the Spartan blades for a general "serious use" fixed blade.

Just bought a Kizer KI3404A3; blade is S35VN.

A cursory web search shows no definitive HRC rating number for S35VN (in the Kizer or any other knife).

HRC for S35VN?

My only experience in with s35v is from ZTS on my 0350 gen3.... So far no problem. It seems easy to sharpen and performs in the same range of s30v... Maybe a little bit below elmax I would say
