I recently purchased a Busse knife from a very promenent seller here and still have not recieved a knife yet,the seller claims the knife was shipped and provided a delivery confirmation #. when i check the # online USPS there site says @@@@@@ purchased electronic shipping and no further records are available. I have asked the seller what day and time he shipped my knife 3 times with no answer so far and in response he said i emailed you a tracking # maybee you cant track it online and maybee only after its recieved you can see its been delivered. well i have shipped alot of items and with delivery confirmation you can see online when it was accepted for shipment Date/time and what post office it accepted at. it was supposed to shipped Priority Mail 2 to 3 to deliver its been 5 days now. any suggestions would be greatly appeciated.

When using USPS I have, on a few occasions, recieved my knife before any info. showed on their website. I can usually see the day and time it was accepted but, like I said, not %100 of the time. Since the seller has a good rep I'd check in Monday, see if you get responses from the seller, and go from there. Geed luck.

many times I have sent Priority w/ tracking #. Many times no tracking comes up until delivered..... so hang on tight, probably you are alright.

yes i am hoping it will show up, but the sellers non response of what Day & time he shipped has got me a little concerned, i have dealt with him before and always super communication but not this time

Does the seller have activity on this forum since you have contacted him? If not, perhaps they have been away from the computer.

Sit tight, its only 5 days, but if it goes on for a week, then I would make some calls. There's been bad weather, and that can put the brakes on the mail trucks.

i had a similar experience recently. usps has a terrible tracking system. it all turned out well, but lack of communication, especially upon direct questioning, is unacceptable imo. hang in there, it'll show up eventually.

yes he contacted me last nite and i asked him what day and time he shipped and got a response but not to the question i asked.

I was so peeved at the postal service for just this sort of thing. Paid extra to ship insured USPS, sent tracking number, and the tracking info was not updated until the day after the item arrived. Made me look like, well like this guy looks right now! I was ragin', as the delivery was not within the supposed delivery schedual, and the fact that the tracking came back with nothing but a 'this is a valid #, but info not avail.' carp. At least it worked out in the end...hope it does for you , too. Sounds like an individual with a good rep, so I'd say give it some time.

Hang in there...The US Postal delivery times have been pretty slow lately. Maybe it has something to do with the price of stamps going up, or maybe the weather. Not too long ago, I was waiting on a package that was sent to me from Albuquerque, New Mexico, via USPS Parcel Post, and it took the package TEN DAYS  to go from New Mexico to Denver, Colorado (a neighbouring state), then another 4 days to go from Denver to me here in Washington state.

This has also happened to me. Recently, a package went wandering about for weeks before finally making it to me. Gave both the seller and I fits...but it DID work out.

Hang in there!

It all depends.
If you buy the shipping label online it will not be scanned until it is delivered.
If you take it to the window at the PO it will be scanned in right then as recieved, then scanned again the morning it gets to the local PO(this depends on the PO,mine all ways scans them but some big POs do not),then it is scanned the last time on delivery.
I have had priority packages take up to 10 days to get to me but that is rare, anytime it has taken longer than 2-3 days the item was packaged in a normal box with just a small priority tag on it.I have never had a item packed in a USPS priority box take longer than 2-3 days.
Keep checking the #.If it was misdirected they may scan they info in at some point,at least they did on the last one I had that took 7 days.
If you have the insurance # they can track it if you go to the PO and ask, many times if an inquiry is made on an insured item the package is quickly found and updated in the tracking system. At least it seems that every time I had a package go over 3 days and I had them to check the insurance # in the tracking system the package tacking was updated with in a couple hours.

Hello DE OPPRESSO LIBER,

I did receive your PM's this morning as after I sent you the PM with the tracking info, I had to take of for personal matters as we are closed on the weekends and I was/am at home. I know that the knife shipped a day after I said it would and thought I had informed you of this. I may in fact have failed to relate this information to you and apologize for this. I will look into it first thing tomorrow as I keep all my information at my desk at work.

I shipped your knife via USPS Click N' Ship. It was handed off to my mail carrier with only delivery confirmation as you requested. I have just checked the information from the USPS website and it seems that only insurance will track the item being accepted, shipped and delivered. Delivery confirmation will only show when the item was delivered or an attempted delivery was made. I will do my best to keep you informed on the progress and do apologize that the communication on this transaction may not be up to past standards.

I understand your frustration and I dropped the ball. That is why I posted in here and admitted to my screw up. I know I could've replied in private, but I screwed and this may help as a reminder to make sure I am checking and rechecking my customer service skills. I will find out a new way to make sure this doesn't happen in the future.
