Questions about the XM-18?

Rick makes a great knife that is in very high demand. I don't think a CNC represents a downgrade. If you want one this summer it may be hard to find. If you want a decent knife soon I would suggest the large Sebenza Micarta. They are easier to come by.;)
 
Ordered one yesterday from BLG knowing there is a wait. Waiting to see when she will be ready for delivery.
 
Thanks for the pics Kaizen1. I was also wondering what these beasties looked like. Certainly looks tough and well made but, (and there's always a "but" ...),
I don't particularly like the blade shape. I'm sure it's strong and cuts well and all that stuff, but the style just doesn't appeal to me.

I actually got one since posting those photos. The Gen 2s certainly look better, but the feeling of how tough this folder is, is what draws me to it. I wouldn't shell out $400-$500 on a knife that I didn't really want though.

Yep, understand perfectly, it was a combination of things that made me buy the SNG and the Sebenza, looks were part of it.
