Thanks to you and a few others I think the jade would sell on anything. We have very suddenly been getting a lot of requests for it. Fun fact: We almost didn't offer it on any of the preordering because it wasn't very popular. Even looking at the preorder numbers we weren't sure about keeping it. That has definitely changed. We weren't offering any G10 for the GSO-12 because it is designed to be used with a lot of force and didn't want people to lose hold of it. However, with the new microtexturing it might be something that is now feasible. We will do some testing once the blades exist and decide after that if G10 is something we are comfortable offering on those heavy hitters.

Ever thought about a specific Stickied Flea Market thread for Survive Knives?

There is a thread for extra S!K supplies, but not knives. Most if not all of the Exchange for sale S!K threads are referenced here in the Heads Up thread, so it might save an extra step to host the Flea Market here.

Now that you have some 4.1s (first group with a true 3V delta heat treat) how about leaving one of the scrap ones on the porch for a year and posting some corrosion pics on Instagram? I've been really impressed with the added corrosion resistance of the first new spec heat treat, and I'm sure many of us would like to see how the delta variation fairs.

Not to ursurp Ellie's response, but a similar question was asked of Nathan (Nathan the Machinist) and he indicted that the HT he and Survive were already using before delta 3V was the big advancement in corrosion resistance. I think he said delta 3v might be slightly better but the major benefit has already been realised.

Maybe Ellie will have more information, but if you look at the production schedule on the website, any model that has not gone through water jet cutting just does not exist as a knife, just sheets of steel............ and really those aren't nearly as sexy as a finished blade :D

I'm with ya, though. I can't wait to see these some day!
 
Are the recently announced 4.1 Scandi knives that are being rescued from the S!crap pile (I still love that joke :) ) going to be ground with a true single bevel and will they have the Delta 3V heat treat?
 
Fancier, Pretty sure all those scandi blades were 20cv steel and 1st gen models that are being modified if that helps at all until Ellie gets the full answer out.
 
I just did an unsuccessful search of the forum trying to find confirmation of the alloy on scandi blades.
Darn.
 
Fancier, did a little looking and you can find out about them on the websites Instagram picture feed, The schematic drawing will tell you some about it.

Ellie, have noticed on the past few new blades that have arrived that the hardware is getting to be a real chore to remove.
May have to start including an S/K! mini breaker bar in the box-LOL

Ellie.. what kind of support do you want/need to set up a Survive!Knives forum? SilverNeedle didn't agree to it but we all know he should be the head honcho there for crowd moderation. Speaking for myself, I don't want to pull you from your Bladeforums roots, but it's time for a positively driven discussion. No more allegations, accusations, divinations, intestinal readings, whatever.
 
If only we could get some company moderation in here, I think that would do it. Ellie, please consider doing whatever it is that's necessary to get a moderator in here. I don't want to quell legitimate discussion, but there's a lot of clean up necessary on Aisle 9......

I have emailed and messaged several times, to a few different people about getting made a moderator. No reply still.

Mainly, I want to be able to add some sticky threads so that important information can't get buried. I believe that would really help answer some questions before they have a chance to turn into Aisle 9.
