Questions I ask about knives

Never seen or heard of it. But if I had to guess, it depicts a post-apocalyptic world. Despite my peeves with the Recon 1, it would be my choice if I had to rely on a folder in such a world.
Its actually based on a popular video game with the same name. It takes place in LA some 200 years after a nuclear war destroyed the world in 2077.

If I had to take one of those folders into the wastelands, the Cold Steel Recon 1 for sure. If I could choose one of my own, I'd take my Hinderer XM-24.
I like the recon 1 but I find so many small tasks that I would want a slimmer blade to accomplish

In the world of “Fallout” the wasteland is an extremely inhospitable and violent place where you are fighting for survival on a daily basis.

Given that I can apparently only take one folder with me, I would not want a small EDC type blade. I want something as big and tough as possible.

The Buck 110 and the fixed blade you haven't pictured yet.
I like the way you think.

Tunnel rats 4 life! Gotta take the neat switchblade lol.

Seriously though Id take the Buck 124, the Benchmade Barrage and the Buck 110. And Id take the Recon 1 too in place of something less cool and vital like water or food.

Yes , but I want to know which two. Which would you take next to the Recon. A popular choice has been the Buck 110, but for me it’s too heavy if I have to be traveling long distances

Fixed blade, folders are trash as a solo knife, and I say that as someone who primarily collects and uses folders. I'd take a large fixed blade and the Recon for small tasks/utility.

One for decapitation/chopping, one for stabbing/cutting, one multitool. Not much to go wrong with any of these. Solid, rugged tools. Had a Buck 110 in there at first but the Recon 1 is lighter and more rugged.

If I'm leaving a Vault, I'm going to need at a minimum:

- Quad Gauss Rifle, with buffs for Criticals and maybe damage buff while aiming (maxed Explosive damage perks and Rifleman perks are a concrete necessity as well)
- A Fixer, anti-armor, preferably also with crit buff, and maybe extra damage reduction while reloading
- Possibly a Bloodied Chainsaw (if I'm specced for Bloody/Unyielding at the moment) for close up work

Plus an assortment of Nuka grenades, plasmas as well.

Oh, and probably my CPK Behemother, and a Swiss Army Knife, probably a Farmer X!

Mercator because it's easy to sharpen and works (stainless or carbon is it?) and the Voyager, because it looks like it could still cut and do some damage at Waterfall-table distance. (? Whatever the card game in the video game is)

Sounds like someone has been working and playing well with others.

I like this choice because it happens to be the lightest. And if I am going out of the vault, I don’t know what to expect at first. I mean it could be a war zone and bloodbath—in which case I’m dead anyway because I don’t have guns. So, the light weight would allow me to travel farther faster.
