Questions on......my next knife :-)

I'd go for the 303 over the 301 mainly for blade length, but I appreciate your pics.
I do like the fact that these knives have no crinking, just slim springs. They just look better to me, and I rather have a totally straight blade.
Thanks alot!

I'm sure GEC will come out with a 440c #56/#66/#48 eventually... If D2 is ok then I can recommend the Queen #51 Jack or #26 Small stockman. The #51 is 3 1/2" closed and sits in the mini trapper frame. The #26 is 3 3/8", same frame size as their serpentine jack but with a sheepsfoot and spey blade. I like this one as the sheepsfoot on mine does not stick up higher than the clip. My only concern would be if there are any fit and finish issues, it may be cost prohibitive to send it back.

I'm going to toss another vote into the hat... for the Buck 500-series. Since you've posted single-blade knives, I think you really ought to check out a 501 (or, if you like, a smaller one: 503 or 505). The Buck Custom Shop section of the website will allow you to build your own... even with S30V for the blade, if you so desire.
S30V, with Elk... or Jigged Water Buffalo Horn... Mmmmmmmm yes. :D

I'd like to thank all of you for the suggestions and feedback.
As for the lockback, mine came into my hands pretty much out of the blue but I won't really have a preference for lockbacks (their only advantage is that, usually, their pull is light and easy); thanks for the suggestions anyway (a Buck lockback might find its way into my hands someday...).
In the end, I picked up a Buck 303 in yellow delrin. I admit it's a bit different from what I initially looked for (a two bladed jack), but at the same time I took this as an opportunity to try another pattern and yellow handles, and see how it goes.
Obviously, after I get it (I know I will have to wait patiently), I'll post a review of it (now that I remember, I still have to post the review of my GEC )
Thanks again guys!
