Questions on the vinegar etch

No, it's called Acetone or perhaps Lacquer Thinner (which may contain other solvents.) It's a very common solvent which any paint store or home center should have on the shelf with the other solvents. The previous cautions are well taken, but I'm talking here about 1/2 teaspoon of the stuff which evaporates almost instantly in the air (no smoking!) when brushed on. It's also is useful as a de-greaser for blade prep prior to treatment.

Bri,

I was referring to the FeCL. Or circuit board cleaner. The Dichlorofluoroethane is a circuit board cleaner, and thats why I asked. It doesn't sound like the FeCL, but I'm not really sure.

Dan, any ideas?

FeCl = Ferric Chloride

For etching circuit boards.
